El Corazón is...

22 Jul, 2018, No comments
In 1997 I started my training in woodcarving and silk screen printing, having Luis Castillo Rechy as my tutor at the arts and crafts workshops at Patio Muñoz in Xalapa, Veracruz, where I was born.

Months later maestro Lino Mora Rivera also shared his knowledge in traditional masks carving with me.

From 1998 and on I kept working with silk screen printing full time. In 2013 I returned to working with woodcarving, creating on my own..

In 2014 I went to live in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas. Here some shops and galleries became interested in my work.

In 2016 a modest working place begins to form along with its co-workers' team.

Nowadays we work here under the name of El Corazón in a growing process to keep functioning as a wood studio-workshop.

Welcome

We´ll be writing about our experiences working with wood, creating the perfect team and of course, sharing with you all the beautiful and amazing life in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas, where El Corazón was founded.

We´d enjoy having some feedback too!
